Dental Check-Up
Our focus and our range of treatments aim to promote dental health and happy smiles for everyone!
We offer 6 monthly check-ups, routine x-rays and hygiene treatments - and even more regularly, with scales and polishes available every 3 months if required.
For denture-wearers, we offer regular screening of soft tissues as we do routinely with all patients attending for exam, so that even if teeth are missing you know we are still looking after your overall well-being.
For children, we offer fluoride application and regular check-ups. Our team are friendly, and our approach is such, that we hope to challenge the fear of going to the dentist! Where appropriate ,your dentist can advise you on fissure sealants to protect your child's smile. Diet and toothbrushing instruction are designed to focus on preventing dental decay. We also monitor the developing dentition for appropriate and timely orthodontic referral.
In accordance with current legislation, the maximum NHS patient charge is set at £384, with treatment plans of £350 and above requiring prior approval.
Valid exemptions include Job Seekers Allowance, Tax Credits, Income Support, Pension Guarantee Credit, Pregnancy or child <12months of age, Under 18 or under 19 in full time education, and valid HC2 forms for help with treatment costs. If you are unsure about whether you may need to contribute to your NHS treatment costs, please check with our staff who can advise you, or the relevant literature displayed within the practice.
All patients will be well-informed of their treatment costs in advance of treatment, and printed estimates for tailored treatment plans are available.
We operate a 'pay as you go' policy to break down your treatment into manageable amounts, and prevent any bulk balances at the end of treatment. We advise that any treatment involving laboratory constructed items, is paid for at your preparation visit, ensuring efficient return from our dedicated dental technicians.
We accept cash, and all major credit/debit cards over a minimum balance of £10.
To change or cancel an appointment, all we ask is for 24hours notice where possible, so that we can use our available sessions, to best serve our patients.
